Arag Group Legal Review

If you need help with an existing legal issue, you can sign up for Legal Now, a personal legal plan from ARAG, for $99. This plan gives you access to professional legal assistance in the area of law where you need it. Once you sign up, you can choose a network lawyer in your area and save 25% on that lawyer`s legal fees. More than 70 common legal issues are covered, including estate planning, fines, consumer protection, and more. This plan doesn`t pay to cover your legal fees – it simply offers you a discount on these services. The Ultimate Advisor and Ultimate Advisor Plus plans cover a variety of legal issues, including administrative hearings, bankruptcy and debt, civil matters, consumer protection, criminal cases, custody and support issues, divorce, driver`s license and speeding tickets, seniors` law, family law, immigration, internet law, real estate and residential properties, tenant services, tax matters, wills, trusts and estate planning. ARAG also offers legal insurance through employers, for employees, through their Ultimate Advisor and Ultimate Advisor Plus plans. These plans pay 100% of the network`s attorney`s fees for fully paid and covered matters. Staff will have access to more than 14,000 lawyers, with support available in person or by phone. Many common legal issues, such as preparing a will, buying or selling a home, or collecting child support, are fully covered by these plans. Some legal issues, such as Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, Social Security hearings, and personal property disputes, are paid in full, meaning your insurance company pays 100% of the network`s attorney`s fees. Other issues, including medical malpractice, personal injury, and crime, are not fully covered, but may be eligible for a 25% reduction in the network`s attorney fees.

The ARAG website also lists capped benefits for certain matters, which means that they are only paid in full up to the number of hours specified in the plan or the maximum benefit in dollars. Click here for a detailed list of plan coverages. I apologize if this has already been requested, but I just received the notification to sign up for ARAG and I was wondering if it was worth it? Has anyone used it? Was it really useful and did it save you a lot of legal fees? Prices for employer plans are not listed on the ARAG website, but an article in the Resources section noted that comprehensive legal group plans typically cost around $20 per month. This amount, like other benefits, can be easily deducted from an employee`s paycheck. Employers can offer ARAG plans to employees free of charge, with employees bearing the costs of enrollment themselves. Employers who wish to offer ARAG can submit a form to get detailed information about what the plans could cost their business. ARAG has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. At the time of writing this ARAG review, BBB`s website had 6 reviews listed with an average rating of 2.5 stars. The company`s Facebook rating is 2.9 out of 5 stars with 58 reviews. It has a 2.5-star rating on Yelp, with 6 reviews. I am a lawyer who works for ARAG and I think the main advantage is that you can get representation for disputes for which it might not be worth hiring a lawyer. For example, if you have a contractual dispute worth $10,000 to $20,000, it`s usually not worth charging attorneys` fees, as they usually cost you as much as the amount you want to recover.

Yelper has not yet asked about ARAG legal insurance. ARAG legal protection insurance is open Mon, Tue, Sea, Game, Fri. I have helped some people with things that would not have been worth it if someone had not paid their fees for it. Take that for what it`s worth. I used it and it was really just free consultations. I got a will and trust “for free,” but I`ve been paying $17 a month for a few years now. I am thinking of cancelling. I got him at another job and he offered better services and it was cheaper. I found it cheaper to just find a cheaper lawyer. I`ve never used it before, but I wanted to add it for your comparison. To create a trust from scratch, it`s about $2,500 for an estate lawyer.

It`s just trust. I don`t see them needing their services for us, but others may find them useful.
